Meet Renate!

Renate Haveman
DVM, CCRP (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner), CVA (Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist)

Renate is the heart behind The Rehab Vet — combining extensive veterinary experience with a passion for helping animals live better, more comfortable lives.

Originally from the Netherlands, Renate graduated from Utrecht University and spent over a decade in small animal practice. During this time, she saw first-hand the incredible bond between pets and their owners — and how much that quality of life matters.

Wanting to do more for her patients beyond traditional treatments, Renate pursued further training in veterinary acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society.

This was just the beginning.

She went on to become a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner through the University of Tennessee, expanding her ability to support recovery, manage chronic pain, and improve mobility in pets.

Today, Renate combines clinical knowledge with a compassionate, hands-on approach — helping animals stay active, comfortable, and doing what they love for longer.
